The agreement

Any order you place with us through our website, mobile application, SMS, or any other channel will be subject to these terms. Please be aware that you shouldn’t be placing an order unless you agree to these terms.

These terms are subject to change at any time, so when you place an order, the most recent version of the terms will be in effect. Any updates to the terms will be sent to you via email.

Before placing an order, please carefully read these terms and make sure you understand them. The Terms limit Our obligation to you in specific situations. Refer to paragraph 10, please. Please be aware that orders worth less than AED 70.00 will always incur a minimum fee of AED 70.00.

Definitions

The following terms will mean the following when they appear in these terms in capital letters: App: The website and smartphone applications of Modern dry cleaners

Event Outside Our Control: any incident or situation, as mentioned in paragraph 2, over which we have no control, including (without limitation) the unavailability of any service provider, essential employees, or essential supplies, without which we are unable to deliver the services;

Any clothing or item that is taken from you in conjunction with an order is an item.

Services: laundry or personal dry cleaning picked up from and delivered to the address you designate;

Service providers are any outside parties we work with to help us deliver the services.

Terms: these are periodically updated terms and conditions.

Placing an Order

Before submitting your order, please double-check its details. We won’t be held responsible for any mistakes you make. Please get in touch with us using the information provided in paragraph 13 if you believe you may have made a mistake. Any changes to your order will be confirmed by email from us. Adjustments are included under paragraph 4 as well.

An order submitted to us does not result in a contract. When we email you to confirm that your order has been accepted, the contract is formed.

Every order will have an order number, which we will provide you with as soon as we accept it. In any future correspondence with us, kindly mention the order number.

We will notify you via text or email if we are unable to complete your order for any reason.

Changes to your Order

Contact our Customer Service at info@moderndrycleaners.ae.com to make any changes to an order before the collection time specified in our email accepting your order.

Cancelling or Rescheduling your Order

The restricted rights listed below allow you to cancel an order.

You may cancel your order in the following situations: by emailing customer service at info@moderndrycleaners.a, you may do so at any point before the collection day specified in our email accepting your order.

If an event outside our control affects us after we have collected your item(s), please contact customer service at info@moderndrycleaners.a.

You understand that once an item has been collected from you, we have started providing the services to you (subject to paragraph 2.3), and that you will no longer have any cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations or other similar laws or regulations.

Moderndrycleaners maintains the right to charge more for rescheduling if you need your pickup or return window to be rescheduled while your initial agreed-upon window is still within the next two hours or outside of our office working hours, which are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. Rescheduled times are contingent upon availability.

Our rights to cancel your Order

If any of the following situations occur, we reserve the right to cancel your order and the agreement between you and us: an event outside of our control; failure on your part to make the items available for pickup; or

if we believe that any item does not match the order, is broken, lacks information regarding its contents or cleaning guidelines, or does not belong in the category of items that we accept

If we have to cancel your order, you will be notified by phone or email. If we have already begun working on your order, there won’t be any fees or payments due to us; instead, we will make arrangements to redeliver the item(s) to you as soon as is reasonably possible or at the original redelivery time.

Collection and redelivery

We shall make a good-faith effort to retrieve and redeliver the items by the times indicated in the order, but we cannot promise to do so. We make every effort to notify you via phone or email in the event of a delay and to deliver items to customers within the selected window of time. However, we disclaim all responsibility for any consequential damages that a customer may experience as a result of a delayed delivery.

If you cannot accept a redelivery of the items, we will get in touch with you via phone or email to set up a time that works for you.

A delivery fee of AED 18.00 will be imposed for each subsequent attempt at delivery if the customer is not available for delivery at the scheduled time.  Modern dry cleaners will make every effort to schedule a suitable time for redelivery.

We reserve the right to dispose of an item or give it to a recognised charity of Modern Dry Cleaner’s choosing if you have not accepted or arranged for redelivery of an item for longer than 30 days following the redelivery date stated in the order.

If you agree to do so at your own risk and the third party is ready to acknowledge it on your behalf, you may arrange to have items picked up from or re-delivered to a third party.

You may ask us to leave an item in a prearranged location by sending us written instructions; however, you are not required to give us a receipt. If you choose to do so, you do so at your own risk and at our discretion. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage to items that are re-delivered as a result.

You must make sure that we and/or our contractors have whatever access—including free parking—that may be reasonably needed to provide the services.

Service standards

We promise to deliver the services with appropriate care and expertise in compliance with high industry standards.

If you fail to submit accurate information in your order, such as if an address is missing or incorrect, or if you refuse to accept redelivery of items in compliance with an order, we will not be responsible for any delays or non-performance of our services.

Items that are submitted to us and have a higher chance of damage will not be covered by our liability policy, including but not limited to:

Wash and Tumble Dry Orders

Examining the Items

We do not accept liability for any items lost or damaged during the cleaning process; therefore, please make sure to carefully inspect every article of clothing for potentially dangerous objects like coins, pencils, keys, etc.

Procedure for Cleaning and Desiccating

The load is tumble-dried on medium heat and cleaned on a 30-degree cycle. We may not always be able to accommodate individual needs because of our large processing volume (e.g. temperature, washing powders, etc.). The garments have not been ironed, so please take note.

Separation of Colours

For you, we will sort the clothing into bright and dark categories. Despite our best efforts, we cannot be held accountable for any bleeding or colour transfer that occurs while the surface is being cleaned.

Bag Dimensions

We are going to weigh the laundry. A minimum of 6 kg is required. After we weigh it at the facility, we will update this. Orders weighing less than 6 kg will be billed at the cost of washing, tossing, and folding.

Items Damaged

We wash by the load and don’t check the care labels on every item; therefore, we won’t be responsible for any harm to the things. Please make sure that clothing that needs particular care, such as leather, silk, cashmere, fur, velvet, and other delicate materials, may be machine washed and tumble-dried.

Attaching tags

Instead of being branded individually, laundry items are tagged by the load. As a result, we are unable to assume any responsibility for lost goods.

If there is a problem with the services, please email customer service at nfo@moderndrycleaners.ae.com using the contact information on the app, and let us know as soon as you can. We will handle your complaint without charging you.

If you think that We are not upholding our end of the bargain under these terms, you should notify us of your concerns within 24 hours of any item being re-delivered.

Price and payment

The cost of the services will be quoted at the moment you place your order and will be included in Our price list, which is available via the App or at https://moderndrycleaners.ae/. We reserve the right to alter our prices at any moment, but orders that we have accepted in line with paragraphs 3.2 or 4.3 will remain unaffected.

For the supply of our Services, we retain the right to charge a service fee, which may vary. Before making a purchase, you will be informed of any applicable taxes and service fees on our application’s checkout page.

Depending on the laws of the country where the order is being served, our pricing can contain VAT. Nevertheless, we shall have to modify the rate of VAT that you pay if the tax rate changes between the time we approve your order and the time of payment.

Our liability to you

Should an item be lost or damaged, Modern Dry Cleaners will reimburse you per the Textile Services Association’s Fair Compensation Guidelines. According to TSA guidelines, reasonable and equitable compensation must be given, taking into account the item’s age and a wear and tear allowance. Before agreeing to any compensation, it is deemed appropriate for us to request bank or credit card bills as well as receipts attesting to the purchase price.

If found accountable, we’ll adhere to TSA regulations. The amount of compensation will not cover additional expenses incurred in order to purchase the item, such as shipping, customs, altering fees, etc. If a proof of purchase is presented, indicating the item’s worth and the date of purchase, our entire obligation to you with regard to each item is capped at ten times the price we charge for the services, but not more than AED 150.00.

After delivery, you must inspect the items. If you find anything missing or damaged, you must notify us of it within 48 hours of getting the items. We reserve the right to examine any claimed damage to any item and to take images of it.

Items that have been cleaned by you or a third party, were not submitted for inspection, or do not have the original dry cleaning ticket attached will not be covered by us for any damage.

You understand that we do not know how much the items are worth, and we strongly advise you to get insurance to protect the items.

As per the next sub-paragraphs, we shall furnish compensation (in compliance with 11.1) for any loss or harm resulting from our negligence.

Before the collection, unless we have received (and accepted) information via email, we will not be liable for any single item worth more than AED 500.00.

You won’t be held liable by us for any loss or harm that is expected. If loss or damage is an evident result of our breach, or if it was anticipated by the US and you at the time we entered into a contract for the services, then it is foreseeable.

We shall not be liable to you for any loss of profit, business interruption, or lost business opportunity if you use the services for any kind of commercial, business, or resale purpose.

We disclaim all liability for any loss or damage originating from the following, including but not limited to colour loss, shrinking, or other damage:

failure to inform us of any particular requirements or washing instructions; the item’s lack of a cleaning instructions label; any damage that was present when it was picked up;

We do not, in any manner, restrict or exclude Our liability for: fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; death or personal damage caused by carelessness;

  • A temporary pin or a permanent heat-sealed sticker ticketing system is used in several of our facilities. You acknowledge that your item(s) may be marked in this way by placing an order with Us. We’ll make every effort to place these as discretely as we can. We firmly advise against removing these stickers since we cannot be held responsible for any harm that may result from their removal on your side or that of a third party.   • Modern Dry Cleaners maintains the right to maintain permanent ownership of any damaged item(s) if we provide compensation for damage to any item(s) in our care.
  • Events Outside Our Control
  • If an event outside Our control results in Us not performing any of our obligations under these Terms, We shall not be held accountable or liable.
  • Anything that occurs that is not within our reasonable control or the reasonable control of our service providers is considered an event outside of our control. Examples of such things include civil unrest, riots, invasions, terrorist attacks or threats of terrorist attacks, declared or unconfirmed war, preparations for or results from war, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic, or other natural disaster, or the closure or malfunction of public or private telecommunications networks.
  • If an event outside of our control occurs that impacts how we perform our obligations under these terms, we will attempt to notify you as soon as reasonably possible. If the event outside of our control lasts longer than expected, we will suspend our obligations under these terms and extend the time that we have to perform them.

  • How do we use your personal information?
  • Unless you specify that you do not want to receive such communications by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any Modern Dry Cleaners promotional email communication, we will use the personal information you provide to us to: provide the services; process your payment for such services; and notify you about similar products or services that we provide.
  • Your personal information will only be disclosed by us to service providers.
  •  Modern Dry Cleaners Quality Guarantee
  • Before a garment is returned, we inspect it all. But if for any reason you’re not happy, just let us know within a day of delivery, and we’ll come back and reclean your stuff at no extra cost to you. After a full day, requests for recleans will be evaluated on an as-needed basis.
  • Please email our Customer Service team at info@moderndrycleaners.ae  to seek a re-clean for your clothes. Include any pertinent images and a description of the issue. To set up a convenient time for recollection, a Customer Service representative will get in touch with you.
  • Re-cleaning policy
  • Only specific goods that Modern Dry Cleaners has cleaned are eligible for re-cleaning, and the original dry cleaning ticket needs to be included.
  • Please be aware that stains cannot always be eliminated. Customers may be notified by the ticket that is connected to their belongings if we are unable to remove a stain. We are unable to provide a complimentary re-clean in this particular case.
  • Other important terms
  • Your rights and our responsibilities under these terms shall remain unaffected even if We transfer Our rights and obligations under them to another organization agreement is exclusive to you and us. Nobody else will be able to enforce any of its terms.
  • The paragraphs in these terms function independently of one another. If any court or appropriate authority rules that any of them are unconstitutional, the remaining articles will be fully enforceable.
  • Prepaid items
  • Prepaid goods provide bulk pricing that is discounted. It is not necessary to place an order for every item at once.
  • Prepaid products can be used in any order, but there is a minimum order requirement of AED 70.00.
  • There are no refunds for prepaid items.
  • Prepaid products are non-transferable and can only be used to make purchases using the original account.
  • Items that are prepaid are good for a set amount of time after they are issued.
  • Items that are prepaid are already discounted. Customers can’t apply additional discounts or coupons while buying prepaid items.
  • Each order may only contain one kind of prepaid item.
